The Anniversary Garden

2019 marked 50 years since the Pilkington family generously donated Foxhill to the Diocese of Chester. During that time, countless people have been welcomed through our doors to spend some quality time with God in this beautiful part of his creation.

To celebrate this special milestone fifty fruit trees are to be planted as part of a project to transform an area of the grounds currently known as 'The Old Ponds' into 'The Anniversary Garden'. The trees, supplied locally by Morreys Nursery in Kelsall, will benefit the environment and increase biodiversity by attracting bees, birds and other wildlife. The garden will provide a beautiful space to explore and enjoy... and hopefully an abundant harvest for years to come.

The involvement and support shown to Foxhill over the past 50 years by The Friends, local churches and guests have played a major role in its continued success. We are offering the opportunity to donate a fruit tree to honour the past, celebrate the anniversary and look to the future ahead.

We kindly suggest a minimum donation of £15 to cover the cost of a tree, with any surplus donations being used to develop the garden. A number of volunteer days will be held to prepare the ground ready for the bare-rooted trees to be planted in January (subject to weather conditions permitting).

To donate a tree, please complete the online form here, or contact the Foxhill team.
