Let's celebrate God to the Skies this Ascension Day!

... But what kind of God will we celebrate?

Thursday 10th May
9.30am - 3.30pm
Led by Trevor Dennis -
£27.50 - Includes lunch and refreshments

So much of the language we use of God is drawn from the world of men of power - but after Jesus of Nazareth, how appropriate is it?

The Bible has some surprises up its sleeve, and has other ways of talking to suggest, other ways of experiencing and praying.

Participants are asked to bring a hymn/song book and Bible along with them - the greater variety of collections and versions the better!

Trevor Dennis was Vice Dean at Chester Cathedral before his retirement, and before that Tutor in Old Testament Studies at Salisbury and Wells Theological College. He is the author of numerous books on the Bible, including a children's/family Bible, The Book of Books: The Bible Retold, as well as several collections of sermons preached in story form or in blank verse. He has long had a passion for opening up the world of Biblical scholarship to a wider audience.
