Monday 23rd May 2022 16:00Walking in the Footsteps of Giants 4pm Monday 23rd - 2pm Wednesday 25th May This retreat will reflect on some of the prayer methods used and encouraged by Saints of the Christian Tradition and will be a time of looking at how we can avail of them today. The retreat is open to anyone seeking to deepen their relationship with God. During the retreat we will explore the traditions of Christian prayer, have some experience of them, and see what helps us on our Christian journey. This retreat is likely to contain: Silence Spiritual direction Music Retreat Leader: Sister Winnie I am a Sister of the Cenacle community living & working in Liverpool. I have a wide experience of leading retreats & quiet days and walking with others on their spiritual journey. Cost: 175pp - Includes meals, refreshments and accommodation
Thursday 26th May 2022 09:30 - 16:00Still Small Voice: Consider the Lilies A reflective look at the awe and wonder of creation and the tranquility we can receive from that. Using verses such as Matt 6:26-33 we will focus on the peace and tranquility we can gain from creation. The retreat will use silence and reflective sessions as well as times of praise. Retreat Leader: Revd Karen Andrews Revd. Karen was a biologist before being ordained and before that was one of those children who always looked for little creatures in the garden, stopped on walks to investigate leaves and was only happy on a beach if there were rock pools to examine. Karen is a Curate in Chester diocese and is kept busy looking after three rural parishes.
