"Let's talk about.."

"Let's Talk" events are organised by the Commitee for Social Responsibility, and are open all those who wish to come and share their experiences and concerns with regard to everyday parish life. 

The events are free to attend, and include tea and cake but places must be booked in advance via Hannah Jones:

Let's Talk about Urban Issues

13th September - 10.00am - 12.30pm

This session is open to all those who work in an urban parish or worship in an urban setting – what is the distinct nature of their experience and is there scope for co-operative working and a new way to see living faith in an urban setting – especially places facing multiple issues of disadvantage.

 

Let's Talk about Dementia

1st October - 1.30pm - 4.00pm

This session is open to all those who have experienced supporting people with dementia and their carers in a parish setting or think this will be a part of their church experience in the near future.

 

Let's Talk about Drugs and Alcohol

8th November - 10.00am - 12.30pm

This session is open to all those who support people with drug and alcohol dependency issues and their families and carers. What practical support and signposting can we offer and how well resourced are we to take action or talk about addiction or substance misuse.

 

Let's Talk about Chilled out not Chilly - How to make December warm and relaxing

12th December - 1.30pm - 4.00pm

This session is open to all those who want to just come and be! Share the challenges of the frantic festive season and give a little space to remember what really matters. (Oh and possibly a mince pie or two!)
